CURLING UPDATE

We are currently accepting applications for openings in the following leagues;

We have several growing rental leagues @ Wildewood that are also looking for new members

Saturdays @ 12:15 “ Crosstown” is a Men’s league, but have opened up to ladies as well. A second draw @ 2:30 will be added if required. Fees are $180 for Regular curlers and $90 for fifth and sixth man. This includes a Banquet ticket a well and a Bonspiel at the end of the year with good prizes. Tuesdays @ 4:45 “Versatile”, is a mixed league. Contact is Richard Carlyle @204-990-1334.

GENERAL CURLING INFORMATION

The Wildewood Club operates six sheets of curling ice and offers a variety of men's, women's, mixed, junior and senior leagues. Wildewood is the home to Champions. Last year our Business Ladies champs won the Winnipeg region in the Dominion playoffs (2 years in a row) and finished 3rd in the provincial play downs. The team of Kayla Curtis, Jordyn McIntyre, Jenna Campbell & Rachel Morris won the 13 and under Manitoba Provincial Championship.

This year we are hosting the Junior Regional (Dec 9-12) & Asham 8 ender Youth Jamboree during March break (March 30 - April 2).

We offer certified instructors teaching children aged 9 - 16 in our Bantam/Bison program. The Wildewood Club provides a wide variety of leagues for all ages and skill levels, from recreational to competitive play, including a number of special events such as our Annual December Bonspiel, which is open to all youth (including juniors) curlers. Also our new Wildewood Open Bonspiel in February.

Note: Preferred rate for curlers age 19-24

To keep our rink in top condition, the ice is professionally maintained by our icemaker using a Ice King scraper and the Jet Ice System.
